Hospitality Scholarship Application (for Full-Time Students)
General Information and Instructions:
The Educational Foundation of the Hotel and Lodging Association of Greater Kansas City is a 501(c)(3) organization. ?The Foundation established the hospitality scholarship program to provide financial assistance to enrolled college students pursuing a career in hospitality management. Scholarships are awarded annually to assist with the cost of tuition, student fees, and books.
- Enrolled full time (at least 12 credit hours) in an undergraduate program at a U.S. two-year or four-year college or university for the upcoming semester
- A minimum overall GPA of 2.5
Applicants must submit the following items to the association office no later than April 15 to be considered for scholarship:

The Educational Foundation of the Hotel and Lodging Association of Greater Kansas City will select recipients based on a combination of academic performance, hospitality work experience, extracurricular involvement, and personal attributes.
Scholarship payments will be made directly to the college/university in 2 installments. Half will be paid for the fall semester. Upon completion of that semester, a copy of the student’s transcript must be sent to the association office reflecting they have maintained a 2.5 GPA and are enrolled for the next semester. It is the student’s responsibility to request this transcript! After the transcript has been received, a check will be mailed for the spring semester.
